Privacy Policy for ZABTEC Attendance

1. Information We Collect

When an authorized employee uses the app, we may collect and process the following information:

• Employee account information, such as name, email address, employee ID, phone number, and profile details.
• Attendance information, including sign-in time, sign-out time, assigned center, region, and attendance status.
• Precise location at the time of sign-in or sign-out, including latitude and longitude, to verify workplace attendance.
• Camera photos captured during sign-in or sign-out for attendance and identity verification.
• Profile photo selected by the employee, if the employee chooses to update their profile picture.
• Authentication/session information required to keep the employee signed in securely.

2. Why We Use This Information

We use the collected information only for legitimate employee attendance and account purposes, including:

• Verifying that attendance is submitted by the correct employee.
• Verifying that sign-in and sign-out happen at the assigned workplace or attendance center.
• Maintaining monthly attendance reports and work-hour records.
• Allowing employees to update their profile information and password.
• Preventing unauthorized attendance submissions or misuse of the app.

3. Location Use

The app requests location access only when an employee signs in or signs out. The app does not track employee location continuously and does not collect background location.

4. Camera and Photo Use

The app uses the camera only to capture a live attendance photo during sign-in and sign-out. The app may also allow an employee to select a profile photo from their device gallery if they choose to update their profile.

5. Data Sharing

Employee data is sent to ZABTEC systems for attendance and profile management. We do not sell employee personal data. We do not share employee data with third parties except where required for operating, securing, or legally complying with the attendance system.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect employee data. Employee account access is protected through login credentials and session authentication. Data should be transmitted over secure HTTPS connections.

7. Data Retention

Attendance records and related verification data may be retained as required for employment, attendance, audit, payroll, security, or legal purposes. Profile information is retained while the employee account remains active or as required by ZABTEC policies.

8. Employee Choices and Permissions

Employees may deny camera or location permissions, but attendance sign-in/sign-out may not work without these permissions because they are required for attendance verification. Employees can manage app permissions from Android settings.

9. Account Access and Deletion Requests

Authorized employees may contact ZABTEC administration to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to employment, legal, audit, and security requirements.

10. Children

This app is not intended for children. It is intended only for authorized ZABTEC employees.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or attendance process changes. Updated versions should be made available in the app or through an official ZABTEC page.
